Our Beliefs
That God is a person existing in trinity in unity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit
That the Bible is the verbally inspired word of God. That it is therefore without error and is the final and all-sufficient authority in all things. It is our conviction that the King James Version is God's word preserved for the English-speaking world. It is therefore the only version to be preached from or taught from in our pulpit or classrooms.
That man was created in the image and likeness of God, as recorded in the Book of Genesis, but that he fell into sin. As a consequence of his fall, all men are lost and need to be born again.
That Jesus Christ was sent of God in the likeness of sinful flesh, and was born of the virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, and died a substitutionary sacrificial death on the cross for the sins of the entire world. That He is coming again, premillennial, personal and visible.
That salvation is wholly by grace through faith in Christ, who bore our sins in His own body on the tree, and without Him there is no salvation.
That those that believe on Him are freely justified, adopted into the family of God, bestowed with eternal life and will be rewarded in Heaven on the grounds of their faithful service.
That unbelievers are already condemned and will be judged by Christ and cast into an endless hell unless they repent of their sin and receive Jesus Christ as their Savior.
That there shall be a resurrection both of the just and the unjust, but each in his own order. They that have done good will come forth unto the resurrection of life and they that have done evil unto a resurrection of damnation.
The two ordinances of the church are:
Baptism: This church shall teach and practice baptism by immersion. To show forth in solemn and beautiful symbol our faith in and union with the crucified, buried, and risen Savior.
The Lord's Supper: This shall be observed at least once every quarter at the time deemed advisable by the pastor and deacons.
That Sanctification is a work of the Holy Spirit throughout the world leading to growth in grace.
The Church is the body of Christ of which He is the head.
The Devil is the arch enemy of God and man, the instigator of sin and death. That he was defeated at the cross and will be cast into the Lake of Fire.
That as a local assembly of saints the government resides in the congregation, in its membership and not in any special body or order of men within or without. That it is a spiritual democracy wherein each soul has equal access to God and voice in the affairs of the church. A majority of the members constitutes the determining action of the church.
We accept Only the New Testament as our Standard of Faith and practice.
